If You Don't do it, You Don't Really Believe it. Some people spend their whole time searching for what's right, but they can't seem to find any time to practice it. Your life story is not written with a pen, but with your actions. To do nothing is the way to be nothing.

love

Haven't really got the time to reminiscing lately, or for the past month or 2. searching for internship, trying to keep up with the kardashian   class, sister wedding, mid term, assignments.... do make me feel bad too because I hardly catch up with my friends too..

Last nite was a night out at zouk. quite sufficient number of pretty and sexy babes around. the place is so-so, too smoky for my liking personally. Although there are lots of hot one around, there are also the not so hot one trying to get some attention, well... its not much an attention rather than distraction. to put it in simple, a size 20 tube dress should be illegal!

partying and all that is the thing we do, while we young. but after a while the fun of partying and club just got saturated. Although my ideal case of life is earn a lot of dough and party with all the different hot chic every night. I mean, which guy would disagree right? but they say, God's work works in different way. As time move on, lots of event happen make you rethink of your plan.

As cheesy as it sound, the thought of the old traditional happy-ever after thing did cross my mind, but life's surprise  is not always sweet as a box of chocolate. Recently a friend also suffer the same fate, and almost the same situation. I do hope I could giving a shoulder to lean on to that poor fella. Going through such experience with no support, well... it sucks.

From sad things, lets look at happier things, some might say the miracle of life.

this is story of......

Boy from Melaka
meet girl in Ireland
girl from Thailand.
Boy study in Canada.
Boy back for summer break.
Boy fly to Bangkok to visit
Girl fly to Melaka visit boy.
Girl vow to fly to Canada for boy's graduation
Girl starve, work at tiger show save up
save just enough
Girl went to the embassy for visa interview
Girl virtually got the visa.
Soon, girl flying to Canada to meet Boy

True story..

the cute transatlantic couple

Yes its a true story of my friend. meeting half way around the world to find out both of you are from neighbouring country. for me that is already something amazing, and being able to sustain the relationship and the sacrifice to fly to Canada just for his convocation. That is just out of this world. I mean, if you got limited resources, won't you just buy something that you really want? like a new gadget or branded handbags?but to sacrifice for a guy.... sorry to be generalizing or judgemental but, which girl do that?  well only good one i guess, there are girls like that but the group is getting smaller. do wish them the happy ever after ending.

Sister's wedding

Sunday, March 14th 2010, its her big day.Officially.She is the first among us siblings to walk into the other side, even cutting the queue, she is the first to step in family-hood. There are still this question on my mind that can only be answer with time. Is wedding meaning that you gain another brother? or you just losing a sister.

The bling

In the morning of the legal binding wedding ceremony. Means they are marry in the eye of the law.

The witnesses

I always thought the exchange of vow is a deep touching and emotional moment between the bride and the soon to be husband. It means the mother of all promise that you gonna make and are to be bond to the words till death due us part. Well at least thats the ideal case. But got no idea why its funny for them.

Are you really happy Mr.Gan? where is the smile?

I saw the watery eyes of my elder brother. Although he did not show much emotion, to jaga his macho-ness. But somehow as the eldest, I think he do care for her just, don't know how to show or express it.

So it's official, legally

New family? For me personally I still feel a certain degree of akwardness by having a brother in law. I guess there is not much bonding, or a get to know each other season.

Off go the happy couple. What ever  my questions are.... I guess one thing is for certain. You can't choose who you are related to. Thus, as a brother, as long as she is happy. I got her back. Hope the wedding this weekend will go on smoothly. No cold feet, no run away bride, no exes Congrats both of you...

my kelantan

Went back to my beloved hometown for chinese new year. An 10 hours car ride plus the stops to visit old friends and to look at our old town. The driving was good. Driving up to Cameron Highland/Gua Musang interchange via Simpang pulai, certainly do train my driving skills especially my main weakness at taking corner at a not so turtle speed. the only down side to it is I lose my okley sunglass bag, while stopping at one of the R&R.

Our first stop was Kuala Krai. For those who doesn't know, I was born and brought up here, until I was 10 and moved to Bangsar. Yes, there are still lots of fond memories, and no I have not forgotten, this is where I came from. Maybe its true that most of my growing up years I spend in the 90210 of Malaysia, but at heart, I am still the boy from this small town. It is not as develop as SP, no we don't have 2 tesco, heck, its even more remote than Kangar. But no, we don't stay in houses on stick. But bare in mind that our GDP is higher than the country. The main economy here is timber, and now the town is turned into a bird nest town with lots of empty shop lots are converted to nest the swallow. But the special thing for me is always the people. There is a eating place. nothing special really about the food, but you see, in this shop, the malay do the cooking, and the chinese makes the drink. and the customer? are from both races.  It is certainly different from the people here in the city. Taking example of the open house in Klang. The chinese host, serve Bak Kut Teh, and the host invite some muslim guests. Of course there are some halal food like curry fish and rice etc.. but with the Bak Kut Teh, even if its at 2 different table, it just show no respect to the guests. To me thats the sickening part of the people here in the city, lack of sensitivity.

At Kuala Krai, I get a ride on my uncle's hilux. and we went to the timber mill. for the first time I saw the vehicle the logger called 'san tai wong'. it is used to pull down trees. its huge and powerful.

We drive up to the capital, Kota Baru, where my grandma is. Sometimes its a bit confusing when people ask me where is my hometown/where am I from. Sometimes I say Bangsar, Kuala Krai, Kota Bahru and now Klang. Every year for the past say 6-5 years, the Chinese New Year end after the first day ends. I mean after the first day, there is no more big ang pau to collect rite? and all the places are already visited, as both my parents place are just about 10-15 min drive away. So our relatives are literally nearby.

Chinese New Year for me personally is about family. All my life during CNY I am back here. No, I don't celebrate it with my friends, because none of them in Kelantan and with the exception for university, majority of my friends are either Malay or Indian.

And yes, the main ingredient of my trip back to Kelantan is always is, and always will be the FOOD. mostly are Kelantanese food, its pointless to eat chinese food here because there are so many variety of chinese food which are better and at a much more reasonable price in KL.
